Your Secret Weapon
Congratulations you made it to day 3 of Fasting and Praying, we are almost at the finish line. We pray that during this time you were able to restore or strengthen your intimacy with God, and to hear His voice more clearly. God leads people to fast in order to bring mental clarity, answered prayers, wisdom, direction, physical cleansing, healing, wholeness and to break unhealthy appetites and strongholds.
Fasting along with prayer breaks through the invisible strongholds that keep us bound and fight spiritual battles. Many Christians fail to understand fasting or refuse to do it, but implementing a fast with prayer has the power to fight attacks from the enemy. Ephesians 6:12 tells us, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” This is why we must put on the whole armor of God with prayer being like our secret weapon in this spiritual battle.
Through our prayers, we can activate angelic help. God will assign angels in answer to our prayers, to help us receive supernatural breakthrough. Angels are closely engaged in our spiritual conflicts. We cannot fight against the devil without them. Below are some examples of angels helping in the Bible.
“He said, “Do not be afraid, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” Then Elisha prayed and said, “O LORD, please open his eyes that he may see.” So the LORD opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw, and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.” -2 Kings 6:16-17 (ESV)
“My God sent his angel and shut the lions’ mouths, and they have not harmed me, because I was found blameless before him; and also before you, O king, I have done no harm.” – Daniel 6:22 (ESV)
“The prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days, but Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I was left there with the kings of Persia, and came to make you understand what is to happen to your people in the latter days. For the vision is for days yet to come.” – Daniel 10:13-14 (ESV)
Are they not all ministering spirits sent out to serve for the sake of those who are to inherit salvation? – Hebrews 1:14 (ESV)
But during the night an angel of the Lord opened the prison doors and brought them out, and said, “Go and stand in the temple and speak to the people all the words of this Life.” Acts 5:19-20 (ESV)
Angels are assigned to our prayers! God will not deploy them until we employ prayer. There is a spiritual battle taking place but thanks be to God we get the privilege of swaying the balance towards victory!
Today, I want you to do something by just thanking God for your victory. As you go about your day, praise God for what He is doing and about to do on your behalf, praise Him for your breakthrough. Just pour out your love on God.

Fasting and Prayer Details:
Each day fasting from 6 AM to 6 PM Water Only throughout the day.
After 6 PM Fruits and Veggies Only, no meat.
What you need:
- Bible (Read at least a chapter a day)
- Get your prepare your fruit and veggies in advance
- A journal, to write down what God may be speaking to you either through His Word or through your dreams.
- 3 prayer points, what are you looking for God to do for you during this time of fasting and prayer?
- Have 3 -7 scriptures concerning your prayer points
- At least one person you want to focus on praying for.
- Prayer points for the body of Christ list
Church Prayer Points
- Pray for unity in churches and in the body of Christ.
- Pray for pastor and for church leadership.
- Pray for revival and a great awakening in the world.
